Spring Mocktails

Blueberry Lemon Gingerbucha

MOCKTAILS! Stuck at home with this crazy virus? Trying to cut back on your alcohol intake? Maybe you NEED to cut back! Maybe you're the smart one that doesn't drink! Either way these are amazing drinks for this incredible weather we have been having, for the kids to get involved in, for warm spring nights on the porch, or if you need a little escape from the quarantine madness.

Being in the kitchen, cooking or being creative with recipes always helps me relieve some stress. We're in shelter status in Maryland for over a week now and being home with 3 kids, trying to make sure they're doing school work, entertained, while running an online business and trying to do whatever I can for my brick and mortar to stay a float can sometimes take a toll on my patience and energy levels.

It's easy to grab a glass of wine or sip bourbon over ice while I am prepping dinner or if I've had it for the day and need to unwind especially stuck at home now. So today this week we've had amazing weather with sunshine and warmer temperatures. Tomorrow is in the high 70's. That's the kind of weather always makes me want to sit out on the porch with some great music on, sit in the middle of the garden with a good book, or plop down at our little bistro table with my stack of journals and all things that are inspiring... Thing is I WANT the cocktail to go with it!

My kids are always wanting to concoct things with me so we decided to grab some herbs from the garden and muddle up what we had in the refrigerator to make some amazing mocktails that even they could enjoy! So if you have a garden you're already ahead of the game! If you're running out of food, grab a couple things next time you HAVE to go back out in to public or mix it up and use what you have at home!!
