Make Your Own Strawberry Baskets Using Old ColandersStill wanting to grow a garden and don't have a lot of space? Learn to make your own strawberry basket!!! Grab an old colander, buy a cheap one from an antique store or from a discount store and make these fun Strawberry patches without digging up your lawn! This is also perfect DIY project to grab the kids and do it over the weekend. Fun for everyone and you can grow your own food. This is a super easy and simple way to know where food comes from, eat more mindfully, get outside and get a little dirty, occupy the kids, and do something new!This is also a great way to save space and if gardening seems a little intimidating, this is a great way to get started, strawberries tend to be easy to grow, just don't forget to put them in a sunny place and water them with they need it. Hanging the basket will keep them away from the bunnies and squirrels. You may just battle the birds a little and if you have little kids they may steal all your harvest! ;) 

Things You'll Need:

  • Old colander
  • Old newspaper or paper towels-optional to keep soil into the colander
  • Strawberry seedlings
  • Garden soil
  • S-hook-to hang the pot
  • Cast iron or metal chain to hang the pot
  • Metal Drill bit to drill holes in the side of the colander
  • Drill
