Berry Protein Smoothie
I am always looking for a way to make my smoothies keep me satisfied longer. Being so active teaching Pilates everyday and chasing three little ones day in and day out, sometimes I need more calories through out the day. I hear a lot of people tell me when they start eating better, they feel like they're eating a lot more through out the day. Well of course you are! You're body is actually using the healthy food you're consuming for the energy needed for your daily activities.
My morning routine for breakfast usually includes a green smoothie, but some days I need a little more. This is also perfect after a vigorous workout or when you need that midmorning pick me up. Or maybe you just a little more at breakfast to hold you over longer. This Berry Protein smoothie is packed with antioxidants, protein and satiety power. Simple, nutritious, and oh so good! Ingredients:
- 2 Cups unsweetened nut milk (you're choice)
- 1/2 C fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 Tbsp flax seeds
- 1/2 C unsweetned sunflower butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
- Add everything to a high speed blender with a little ice if you want it colder.
- Pour into a glass and go!
